I've being using the Melbourne Entertainment book for over 10 years, so I was a little excited when I discovered there was a new Bali version! I have saved money over the years on dinners, play centres, take away food, family day outs and just a simple loaf of bread - and it's very similar for the Bali version. I often tell my friends that you get your 'money's worth' in the first couple of uses and then all the additional savings are a bonus!
Most families I know who head to Bali make a visit to Waterbom Park. The family can spend the whole day there and we saved A$32 (as a family of 4) from the Entertainment Book on entry. Although you probably have a lovely pool at your hotel, nothing beats the thrills and exhilaration of all the water slides, although I have to admit my favourite had to be the lazy river!! There is also a fantastic kids area with smaller slides and a tipping bucket. Tip - get there early if you want to secure a cabana but there are plently of comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas. The Entertainment Book offers 100,000RP (approx. A$10) off full price adult tickets and 70,000RP (approx. A$7) off any full price child tickets up to 4 people.
We also had another full day out at the Cocoon Beach Club. The DJ has some great tunes pumping, a beautiful infinity pool, outlook to beach, amazing food and cocktails in the pool. The kids thought it was amazing sitting in the pool with their drink and then floating on the pool toys, whilst listening to awesome music. We choose to relax in a cabana for the day, which just means we had to have a minimum spend of A$50 for the day. The cabana gave the four of us plenty of room to play uno and spot-it in between swims and cocktails. Tip - cabana's can be pre-booked. Kids are not allowed when they have a scheduled splash & bounce pool party. The Entertainment Book offers up to 25% off the total bill, up up 300,000RP (approx. A$30) in value.
The list of amazing restaurants is endless in Bali and the Entertainment book have a great selection where you can obtain a discount, from Mejekawi at Ku De Ta, Ginger Moon, The Bistrot, Arwana Nusa Dua, Jamie's Italian and Meads Beach Bar just to name a few!!
We had dinner at the family friendly Mexican LacaLaca in Seminyak. The staff were friendly, the food was yum and the atmosphere was good - with the restaurant 70% under cover and 30% open, plus we saved money on our mexican feast! The Entertainment Book offers up to 25% off the total bill, up up 200,000RP (approx. A$20) in value.
All the kids wanted one day was a boring sandwich for lunch, so we opted for some delicious take away from Bo & Bun in Seminyak. It seems we are not the only ones who got take away, as they are certainly set up for it! The Vietnamese food was fresh and yum with amazing rice paper rolls. The Entertainment Book offers up to 25% off the total bill, up to 150,000RP (approx. A$15) in value.
Other than Waterbom Park there are many discounted family activities in the book including: the Elephant Safari Park, Bali Bird Park, Bounce, Splash Water Park & Strike Bowling. Although there are many beauticians to choose from in Bali, if you are looking for an extra special treatment the Entertainment Book have an offer on packages at Prana Spa in Seminyak, so why not treat yourself to a massage, herbal body scrub, yoghurt splash followed by a rose petal and frangipani flower bath.
If you want to get more of an idea on all the offers in the Bali Entertainment book you can check out the online flip book here. The book also includes heaps of discounts on accommodation including Villas and Resorts. You can either purchase the traditional book or the digital version for your mobile for only A$40. For our family it was great value, as we almost saved the $40 just by visiting Waterbom.
