Over the years there has been many favourite toys played with over and over again, from dinosaurs, Duplo, Lego to figurines. Over the last 2 months, with no word of a lie, the first toy my boys run to is their kick bricks!
The creativity involved has been amazing they have created so many different structures, including but not limited to;
- Domino's track
- Endless towers
-Wall division in the playroom
- Letters of the alphabet
- Lay down the bricks on a person's body
- Rest on the bricks
- Castle for figurines
- A wall of a fort with Duplo
- Balancing and walking on bricks
- Patterns with bricks
The list really does just go on and on, as they never seem to build the same thing again. They have the bricks standing up, sideways, lying down, basically anyway they can manage. They have also incorporated their other loves of figurines and Duplo by building walls with the bricks and Duplo and then placing figurines on top of them.
What they really love of course is KICKING the bricks down. It can be an issue who gets to kick the bricks first, and then sometimes further issues if Mr 4 knocks down a construction that has not been completed, but luckily they can just build something new with their Kick Bricks again. The bricks are so light and soft that they can't hurt themselves when they do their karate chops to the bricks! (see sideways video demo!!)
